Since getting pregnant, I have had many food aversions. It started at about 5-6 weeks. Before I even knew I was preggo, at around 4-5 weeks, we had a group of friends come over to make egg rolls. My friend Celia taught us how to make authentic Chinese egg rolls, and we all chipped in to do so. Although the egg rolls tasted amazing that night and we all stuffed ourselves, a few weeks later, I tried making them again and felt absolutely disgusted by them!
Seriously... I can't eat ANY Chinese food at ALL anymore. Fried rice and egg rolls are the WORST, most disgusting thing I can think of. Any time I picture them, I instantaneously feel sick. Why is this? I absolutely LOVE Chinese food normally!!
Here is a photo from that fateful night:
I was preggo here, but I didn't know it. I even drank some wine that night... oops!
The most ridiculous thing is that even looking at this photo makes me feel somewhat nauseous... I wonder if I will ever enjoy egg rolls again!
I lived on egg rolls with my pregnancies, but whenever I went to get chicken teriyaki anywhere (even when I worked at Subway, which I ate it daily). . .I got sick from it. I love Japanese food but I couldn't eat it at all (though I could have Chinese food without a problem). That's so sad when there are foods you love that you can't have because of how crazy it makes you feel in pregnancy. Poor thing. Don't worry. by the time you are about 30-34 weeks pregnant you'll probably be okay with eating them again! haha.
